- Maggy - works on warts!This is my first review ever, but this product was awesome and there were no reviews regarding how it worked on warts. I bought it because of generally good reviews and because I was desperate to try anything for my 8 year old daughter's gargantuan warts. She had them for over a year and a half with no effect at all from compound w or similar otc treatments. Dermatologist froze them - got worse. Dermatologist used "beetlejuice" and she had a rare side effect developing a ring of satalite warts around the original ones. Her finger looked like it had been burned with acid. Dermatend cured her completely in 3 weeks. I did some research on the active ingredient and it turns out it is "bloodroot" which is a plant extract used for centuries by Native Americans to treat warts. There are no known adverse affects from topical use. Here are some tips on use for warts: file it really well first, apply as directed, it will sting for 5-10 minutes but not nearly as bad as dermatologist treatments, do not wash off - not necessary and seemed to work better when I left it on overnight, cover with vaseline and a bandaid during the day, leave open in the evening and overnight. It probably took about 10 -12 applications to completely get rid of the worst one. Yes, the tube looks microscopic but I treated 3 fingers at least 10 times and we still have some left. They never really turned brown and fell off like directions said, but you could tell it was doing something and they got smaller and smaller until one day they were just gone. Highly recommend!
